comments:
I learned to play fiddle from my mentor, the late Harold Luce of Chelsea, starting in 1991.

Like Harold did, I consider myself a Yankee fiddler, which not only includes traditional standards, but also popular tunes of the 1920's through the 1950's, Tin Pan Alley, older country music, as well as contemporary tunes written by myself and others.

I've composed 100 fiddle tunes and I've self-published 2 books of some of them.  In the past, I've given lectures on traditional dance and music history.  In 2010, I added a living history portrayal of the life of Charles Ross Taggart (1871-1953), a traveling fiddler and entertainer who grew up in Topsham, VT (available in both VT and NH, through the Humanities).  I also give a lecture in NH about fiddle contest history.

In 2013, I had my first book published, based on my research on Charles Ross Taggart (The Man from Vermont:  Charles Ross Taggart, The Old Country Fiddler; History Press).

In 2015, I released a CD of original waltzes I've composed (Waltzing with You), which can be downloaded at www.bandcamp.com, or a physical CD can be ordered directly from me.

Thanks for looking!

I'm a Juried Artist, listed with the Vermont Arts Council.
